Silicon dioxide and titanium dioxide are well-documented broadband far-infrared absorbers and re-emitters — published materials research on IR-emissive coatings has measured meaningfully higher infrared emissivity in fabrics coated with these two minerals compared to uncoated material, with the effect holding steady across a range of skin-relevant temperatures.
